In the news... Five SciHigh students represented STEM education in New Orleans at the annual Association for Career & Technical Education conference held in November 2015. Students discussed their education, struggles, & aspirations.

SciHigh engineering students visited the University of New Orleans for Engineering Day. Students were able to experience robotics classes and UNO's Tow Tank - the experimental facility used to test scale models of ships, offshore structures, and ocean engineering vehicles and instrumentation.
In the spring, students also attended Tulane University's American Institute of Chemical Engineers Outreach Program. The highlight of the program was a presentation by NASA astronaut, Al Sacco, the 1st chemical engineering professor in outer space. SciHigh Nautili also dominated the "Engineering Quiz" game! |

SciHigh engineering students stay busy!
Four students were chosen to participate in the Tulane Science Scholars Program - a selective program for high school students who have exceptional talent in the sciences and mathematics. These four students were awarded scholarships to study Materials Science & Engineering during the program. After successful completion of the intensive 2-week course, students earned 3 hours of Tulane credit. One exceptional SciHigh student was chosen to attend Auburn University's Women in Engineering Camp. Tons of building, coding, & fun in Alabama! |
